Powering the Future in the Windy City

Presentation abstract submission deadline: Friday, October 20, 2017

Notification of abstract acceptance/rejection: Friday, November 17th, 2017

 

We are now accepting proposals to present at STEMCON 2018. The conference for K-12 STEM educators will be held on April 20th in Chicago at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare. We are looking for practical, innovative presentations that display academic and professional excellence. Presentations should surround the following topics:

You may submit your applications for the following formats:

  • 50-minute breakout sessions
  • 85-minute hands-on workshop
  • 20-minute curriculum burst
    Please review our presentation application guidelines thoroughly before submitting your applications.

 

Proposal Guidelines:
Title: 90-character limit
Purpose: Discuss the problem or need your presentation addresses
Objectives: Describe the practical outcomes for students and/or teachers
Summary: Concisely summarize the content and conclusions
Word limit: 300 words
Presentation format: Indicate the type of presentation you are applying for (breakout session, workshop, or curriculum burst) and discuss how your presentation fits into that format with the time allotted.

 

Bio Guidelines:
Word limit: 200 words
Group presenters: Only submit one biography for the whole group
Please keep your biography short, professional, and relevant to your presentation. STEMCON attendees read bios to get a sense of who you are, what work you do, and why your background contributes to the presentation you are giving at STEMCON.
